Too Shy
Dear Dr. Ava
Q & A Single Men
by Dr. Ava Cadell
Too Shy
Question: I’m a 30-year-old male. All my life, I have been a painfully shy person and have always felt much anxiety at parties and social gatherings. As a result, I have lots of trouble meeting women. Now that I’m reaching the age where the thought of settling down and having a family has become increasingly important to me, I desperately want to overcome my social stresses and start meeting women. Recently, a doctor recommended I experiment with prescription social anxiety medication. What do you think about this approach? I’m leery at the thought of depending on pills every time I want to leave the house. It just seems weird. But I’m getting desperate. Help please.
Answer: Your vibes are perfectly accurate. You don’t find love in a test tube or a drug. That’s an artificial crutch and will never work. If you want to find love, go to places where you will meet the kind of woman you are seeking. If you want to meet a smart woman then go to a library or attend lectures and seminars. If you want to meet a woman who is into good health and nutrition, go to yoga classes and health food markets or restaurants. If you want to meet a nurse, volunteer at a hospital. You get the idea. Also, let everyone know that you are available and looking for someone to settle down with. Tell all your friends, co-workers, doctor, dentist, neighbors and so on. While you are waiting for that special person to show up, I want you to go out and smile at three people a day and give them a compliment. Say something that will make them feel good about themselves. This will help your communication skills and it will make their day. The more you practice, the more confident you’ll become. Don’t give up because dating is simply a numbers game and your number is out there somewhere, all you need is a little more confidence and a little more know-how on the art of seduction. Discover how you too can make yourself an expert at this by watching my video, The Power of Seduction.
