Asia, Dr. Ava lectures to pharmaceutical companies, entrepreneurial organizations,
religious groups, medical institutes, women’s conferences and colleges on the topics
of romance, relationships, love, intimacy and human sexuality.
Dr. Ava pioneered the personal development of Certified Loveologist Love Coaches,
helping them to help the general public to reach their potential in their love lives.

Dr. Ava first came up with the terms ‘Loveology’ and ‘Loveologist’ when certain
TV shows and networks refused to display her professional title if it had the word
“Sex” in it, so they rejected her Clinical Sexologist title and Certified Sex Counselor
because they were afraid the word ‘Sex’ would offend their viewers and advertisers.
It became apparent there was a need for a new word that was going to be acceptable
to all audiences. Loveology and Loveologist have now been trademarked, the media
and Fortune 500 companies approve of the word with much acclaim and it is currently
being considered as a new word in the Dictionary. The definition of a Loveologist
is someone who studies the science of love. And of course, love encompasses romance,
intimacy and sexuality!
Dr. Ava has a doctorate in human behavior from Newport University, CA and a doctorate
of education in human sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality
in San Francisco. She is a continuing education provider for the CA Board of Behavioral
Sciences and the CA Board of Registered Nursing. Through her private practice in
Los Angeles, she counsels people on personal issues that range from anger management,
fear of commitment, lack of communication to lack of desire.

American Association of Sex Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT)
The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) is
a not for-profit, interdisciplinary professional organization. In addition to sexuality
educators, sex counselors and sex therapists, AASECT members include physicians,
nurses, social workers, psychologists, allied health professionals, clergy members,
lawyers, sociologists, marriage and family counselors and therapists, family planning
specialists and researchers, as well as students in relevant professional disciplines.
These individuals share an interest in promoting understanding of human sexuality
and healthy sexual behavior. Dr. Ava Cadell is an AASECT Certified Sex Counselor.
Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality
Dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about sexuality, the SSSS was founded
in 1957 to encourage the rigorous systematic study of sexuality. More than 1,000
individuals hold membership in this non-profit professional membership organization.
The strength of the Society is the range of disciplines represented by its members,
conference participants and journal authors. Membership includes anthropologists,

education and professional development. This national organization represents licensed

State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences
The Mission of the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) is to protect the well being
of Californians by setting standards for mental health professionals through effective
communication, education, examination, licensing and enforcement. The BBS is responsible
for consumer protection through the regulation of Marriage and Family Therapists
(MFT); Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW); Licensed Educational Psychologists
(LEP); MFT Interns; and Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASW) in the State of
California. It is one of the boards within the California Department of Consumer
Affairs.
State of California Board of Registered Nursing
The California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) regulates the practice of registered
nursing and certified advanced practice nurses in order to protect the public health,
safety and welfare. The Board exists to protect the health and safety of consumers
and promote quality registered nursing care in California. Since 1978, California
registered nurses have been required to document completion of continuing education
courses as a way of supporting their continued competency to practice. The requirement
is that RNs complete a minimum of 30 contact hours every two years in subjects relevant
to the practice of nursing. Courses must be taken from providers approved by or
from other entities recognized by the Board of Registered Nursing
International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health
The purpose of the ISSWSH is to provide healthcare professionals a real-time interactive
resource for addressing women's sexual health issues through discussion of real
cases and experience, to provide opportunities for communication among scholars,
researchers, and practitioners about women's sexual function and sexual experience.
It is dedicated to support the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in
research, education, and clinical practice of women's sexuality, and to provide
the public with accurate information about women's sexuality and sexual health.
